Los Angeles Dodgers Show Positives Signs Prior To The All-Star Break
| Written by: mlborenshiri

Throwback superstars

The weekend brought hope to the Los Angeles Dodgers and thier fans.  The Dodgers bursted into their best winning streak all year, winning four games straight.  After a horrific five game slide the Dodgers swept the Padres. Ending the first half of the season on a good note, with two homeruns from All-Star reserve outfield Andre Either.  This win moved the Dodgers out of the cellar in the National League west.

It’s the All Star break and all eyes are on the three Dodgers stars outfielder Matt Kemp participating in the homerun derby as well will be the Dodgers only starter. Going to Arizona with the Either and Kemp is the Dodgers ace young pitcher Clayton Kershaw making his first appearance in the game as well.

Will the Dodgers move to end the season above .500 or just continue sliding back and forth fighting for last place in the NL west? This all remains in question in Los Angeles.

Especially in the front office Frank McCourt ownership gives all fans a reason to turn their heads in the other direction.  A group 75 fans held a protested outside Dodgers stadium prior to the Padres game this Friday. Basically telling McCourt to leave town and sell the Dodgers to someone who will lead the team to what they are historically known for.

I would like him to stop thinking he can run things around Dodgertown. Its about time he gets packing for the better of franchise, city and the fans.

In other Dodgers news injuries have plague some of their players. Starting pitcher Jon Garland, currently on the DL, is schedule to undergo season ending exploratory shoulder surgery keeping him out for the rest of the season.

On the flip side catcher Rod Barajas caught nine innings this past Saturday in his minor league rehab assignment and is likely to join the Dodgers after the All Star break this week.

Sit back grab your favorite beverage and snack enjoy the homerun derby and the All Star game because hey the other two major sports NFL and NBA are still locked out.
